There are many different forms of werewolves (lycanthrope)

described throughout the world. Some of them are Native American

spirits, some demons, some cursed humans. The classic modern

American werewolf is a shape shifting cursed human that changes

in a full moon, and is allergic to silver. The Romanian werewolf is

called the Vircolac and mythological and devours the sun and moon. They

also believe that a person afflicted with lycantropy can change into

a dog, big or wolf. The following is a famous description of werewolves and witches by a judge who saw many of them in
trial, named Henri Boguet from the Abbey of St. Claude:

'Satan deludes humans into thinking they are wolves by confusing the humors of the body and by giving them

an ointment to deaden their senses. Humans who suffer from hallucinations and delusions of metamorphosis

are instrument of Satan. Witnesses to transformation of humans into werewolves are also deceived by Satan. Satan
confuses their vision so that what they see and report is an illusion. The battle, then, in the courts was against
demonic and disruptive elements in the life of the community. Witches and werewolves shad to be punished (and
eliminated.)'

France had an incredible 30,000 trials just between the years 1520 and 1630

for people believed to be werewolves. One of the most famous trials featured

a recluse called Gilles Garnier.

currenlty being filmed and it's estimated first "web episode" release is expected Winter
2006/2007.
